Applicants must be aged over 50 - priority may be given to older and vulnerable applicants. Rent in advance required. Let on a starter tenancy (unless current secure tenant) which will be converted to an assured tenancy after 12 months if there are no tenancy breaches during that time. Property is unfurnished, no white goods are provided. Tenants to provide their own flooring and decorating. Good condition furnishings if left by a previous resident can be gifted.

3rd floor - lift access (must be able to self evacuate in an emergency).

Nominated applicants benefit from a helpful telephone affordability and vulnerability assessment where the following evidence is required - ID for all that will live in the property, proof of income (wage slip or benefit award letter), landlords reference (if applicable), 1 months’ worth of recent bank statements for all accounts, list of outgoings (weekly or monthly).

Residents benefit from an onsite (or visiting) caretaker (office hours) & access to a Housing Support Officers who can help with completing forms, claiming benefits, referring to outside agencies and social services and GP’s.

Applicants will participate in a further lifestyle assessment - an application may be declined if it is deemed that the level of support they would require would seriously undermine Worthing Homes ability to support the other residents in a scheme.
